Our garments are produced and independently tested in accordance with the latest European and UK Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) regulations.
Standards & Testing
All BJ Sherriff protective clothing is manufactured under EN ISO 13688:2013 – Protective Clothing: General Requirements.
This standard defines the essential health and safety, comfort and durability criteria for PPE clothing.
Additional performance testing is undertaken to verify abrasion, tear, puncture and seam strength, supporting the protective claims made for each garment family.
Testing is carried out by accredited laboratories (including SGS UK Ltd and SGS Fimko Oy) under the supervision of a Notified Body and an Approved Body, ensuring continued compliance with both EU Regulation 2016/425 and the UK PPE Regulations 2018.
Certification Documents
BJ Sherriff garments bearing the CE and UKCA marks conform to the above standards and have been assessed for compliance by SGS UK Ltd (Notified Body 0120).
This Declaration of Conformity confirms the scope of certification, applicable standards and the products covered.
Each certified garment also carries a label referencing the relevant standard and a unique product code for traceability.
